The Recalibration

A 105-minute Decision System intensive for newly promoted leaders. Reset the instrument you make decisions with, before the next high-stakes call is on you.

Private · Virtual · 105 Minutes · By application

Why It Exists

The promotion was
the easy part.

You earned the role on competence. Skilled, trusted, the one who delivered. Then you stepped into the room where the decisions are bigger, the information is thinner, and the clock is shorter, and the toolkit that got you here quietly stopped being enough.

Most leaders respond by working harder inside the same instrument: more analysis, more hours, more second-guessing. The result is a leader who looks composed and decides slower than they should. The Recalibration changes the instrument, not the effort.

"Elite leaders train their mind the way athletes train their body." Dawn L. Evans · Founder, SQ

What It Is

Not coaching.
A recalibration.

The Recalibration is a single, private 105-minute session that resets your decision baseline. You don't leave with motivation or a reading list. You leave with a clear read on how you currently decide under pressure, the framework that explains the ceiling you keep hitting, and one repeatable Decision System tool you can use in your next meeting.

It is decision infrastructure, built for the level you just stepped into, not advice you'll have forgotten by Monday.

Underneath the system is a discipline. SQ draws on established research into how the nervous system shapes decision-making under pressure (Polyvagal theory, HeartMath coherence, interoception) and translates it into something a working leader can run in real conditions. That is the behavioral science layer. For those who want it, an optional deeper register draws on spiritual intelligence: stillness and discernment treated as instruments of clarity, never assumed and never required. The science explains the mechanism. The system makes it repeatable.

The Outcome

What you walk away with

The Session

How the 105 minutes work

One uninterrupted session, structured in three movements. It begins where your Pre-Session Diagnostic leaves off, so no time is spent on intake we could have done in advance.

Movement 01

Diagnose

We read your current decision baseline, where urgency, approval, fear, exhaustion, or overload are quietly shaping the calls you make under pressure.

Movement 02

Recalibrate

We install the SQ framework that explains the ceiling you've been hitting, and reset the baseline you decide from.

Movement 03

Deploy

You leave with one repeatable Decision System tool and the language for what you've experienced but never had words for.

Fit

Built for one
specific moment

This is your room if

  • You were recently promoted into a level of decision-making no one trained you for.
  • You're making higher-stakes calls with more visibility and less certainty than ever before.
  • You want a system you can repeat, not a pep talk you'll forget.

This isn't the room if

  • You're looking for general life or career coaching.
  • You want validation more than recalibration.
  • You're not ready to look honestly at how you currently decide.

Built by Dawn L. Evans

The architect
behind SQ.

Dawn L. Evans brings 17+ years of high-stakes decision-making in healthcare systems and technology to the SQ Decision System, built not in a classroom, but under real pressure.

Promoted three times in three years, she lived the gap between skilled professional and decisive leader, then built the internal infrastructure no one had taught her. SQ is that infrastructure: systematized, teachable, and ready for the leader you just became.
